Our website offers a secure shopping cart with dedicated SSL certificate. You will notice upon checkout that the address changes to a secure page, indicating that the site is safe to enter your credit card and other personal information.


The shopping cart will calculate shipping costs to the continental United States based on order total as follows:

Several products have additional shipping charges because they are oversized or are drop shipped directly from our crafters.  The shipping will calculate automatically and you will know upon checkout what your shipping charges will be. We ship orders complete.

To have your order shipped outside of the continental United States, place your items in our shopping cart and click on International Checkout.  You will be placed on a secure server to use International Checkout as your purchasing and shipping agent.  More information is below.
 
If you would like to place an order online and pick it up in the store (saving shipping costs), you may use coupon code pickup upon checkout.  We will not ship your order - instead we will call or email you to let you know when your order is ready for pick up.

If any of our products do not meet your particular needs, we guarantee that we will accept their return and give you a full refund of your purchase price (not including your shipping charges to or from The Tin Bin). Returns must be made within 30 days with your receipt and items must be in their original condition. We cannot be responsible for items that we were damaged in transit from you to us. Please insure your return or use a carrier that provides compensation in the event of a damaged return.

Please note that all references to shipping time frames are estimates.  We have done our best to approximate our delivery schedule.  Sometimes we may be ahead of or behind schedule.  This is due to the fact that most of our products are hand-crafted and delivery time varies from crafter to crafter. 
 
Thank you for your interest in our 18th century reproduction lighting and accessories. Just as in yesteryear, all of our hardwired lighting are handcrafted from start to finish. Because of the nature of our products, please note that there will be imperfections and irregularities that signify our products as uniquely handcrafted. All of our metal products are dipped in an antiquing solution and hand-rubbed for a distinctive patina. Our wooden chandeliers are distressed and are uniquely painted or stained to give them a weathered finish. Whatever product you choose, know that your selection will be made to look old making it an authentic reproduction.

Some of our products are imported.  Most, but not all, of our products that are made in the USA  is noted for your information.  If you are concerned about ordering products that are made in the USA, please check with us before placing your order.  The products that are imported began as designs from American artists and metalsmiths that are reproduced overseas by skilled craftsmen.
 
If you are lighting a new home or addition and are working with deadlines, please let us know so that we can do our very best to help you complete your project in a timely manner.

Some of our crafters work from their homes and workshops and do not mass manufacture their products. Consequently, some products are not UL (Underwriters Laboratories) Listed. All electrified fixtures that are UL Listed are noted for your information. Please know that all of our unlisted lighting are wired with UL approved electrical parts and are tested for safety. However, some townships, districts and municipalities have strict codes preventing certified electricians from installing lighting that is not UL Listed in newly constructed or remodeled homes. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

 

The Tin Bin has partnered with a trusted third-party company, International Checkout, to fulfill orders for our International customers. Simply put the items you wish to purchase in our Shopping Cart and choose the "International Checkout" option. Your items will be transferred to International Checkout for processing. You may pay by International credit card, PayPal or bank transfer. International Checkout will process your order, including billing, shipping and customer service.
