This window light features a "lip" that fits in between your window sill and window.  It is great if you have young children or pets because it secures the window light and prevents it from being knocked over.  However, this only works well if you keep the windows closed.  If you intend to open and close the window, any of our window lights can be directly nailed down to your window sills to leave them up all year long!
