Our torpedo bulbs are candelabra base bulbs in 15, 25 or 40 watts.  They are appropriate for clip shade use.  Some of our customers use small clip shades (about 5") on chandeliers to create a "country" look.  If you want to use these shades, the torpedo bulb is the correct choice instead of the flame tip which would make the shade sit crooked.

 

Remember that the wattage bulb is per socket so that if you have a chandelier with six arms and you choose the 40 watt bulb, you will have a total of 240 watts of light.
